I just got back from an amazing conference- Flashbelt, in Minneapolis. http://www.flashbelt.com

On the one hand it was amazing and inspiring and energizing, on the other hand it made me look at the work I’ve done over the past couple of years in a new and less favorable light, and on one foot it makes me realize just how awesome the work I’m doing single-handedly really is, and on the other foot it makes me realize just how much more I need to / want to grow.

So, really a lot of different things going on here. Go check out the speakers page at the flashbelt site if you want to be awed.

Well, here it is, all cleaned up and ready to ride. It’s a runner too, 16,800 original miles, not even ridden since 1985. New tires, bars, pipes, chain, a few this-n-that items, a battery, and a quick tune-up; started up on the first kick. Nice.

Bloodcow liked my flier so much they asked me to do the artwork for their upcoming split 7″ record with Boston’s Motherboar. So that’s cool.

it is cold and windy where I live. stupidly so. I thought my legs were going to catch frost-bite on my walk to work today, as it was -4 degrees at 8:15am. my eyelashes froze together a couple of times. it was great. I am happy to not be homeless on a day like today. I would be a bum-scicle. cold like this really doesn’t do much for my attitude or creativity. mainly it makes the wheels in the back of my mind start scheming for a way to move somewhere warm. like Jamaica. I could do my job from Jamaica, I tell myself. I could telecommute. I should telecommute.

I’m going to go see Barack Obama speak in Omaha. I’ve never been to a political rally, so I’m pretty interested in whole it will go down.

GO HERE to see pics from my art show last night.

First of all, I did not stick to the 8 week training plan I set up (link). I probably ran about half as much as I should have and ate way too much the last couple of weeks. It was around my birthday and was going out to lunch alot and blah blah blah. I did run a 5 mile race 2 weeks ago and finished in 47:48 with a 9:35 mile pace. Not too shabby, for me.
